Why does it take a little while to receive my merch order?
Our merchandise is created using a "Print on Demand" service. This means your item isn't printed until you place your order. This process is great for sustainability as it reduces waste, but it does mean it takes a little longer for your item to be produced before it is shipped out to you.
Can I change or cancel my merch order after I've placed it?
Unfortunately, no. Once an order is placed online, it is automatically sent to our printing partner's production queue. Therefore, we cannot edit or cancel orders once they have been finalised at checkout. Please double-check your sizes and shipping details carefully before paying.
I ordered the wrong size. Can I exchange it?
Because all merchandise items are custom-made to order, we cannot offer exchanges or refunds if you order the wrong size. We strongly encourage you to review the sizing guides provided on each product page before making a purchase.
My item arrived damaged or the print looks wrong. What do I do?
We are so sorry about that! Please email us at knockknock@gristmill.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your order number, a description of the problem, and clear photos of the fault. We will work with our printing partner to assess the issue and arrange a replacement or refund for verified production errors.
The colours on my shirt look slightly different from my screen. Is this normal?
Yes, slight colour variations are normal. The colours you see on a backlit screen (like a phone or computer monitor) can appear slightly different from the ink printed on fabric. We do not offer refunds for these slight, subjective colour variations.
How should I care for my printed garments?
To keep your merch looking its best, we recommend:
- Washing inside out on a gentle, cold cycle.
- Using mild detergent.
- Avoiding bleach and fabric softeners.
- Drying in the shade (do not tumble dry).
- Never ironing directly over the printed areas.

Where do the proceeds for the original artworks go?
All proceeds from the sale of our original artworks are donated directly to 'Learning for Life', a charity dedicated to supporting education.
Can I return an original artwork?
Because these are charity sales, we do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for a change of mind. However, if an artwork arrives damaged in transit, please contact us at knockknock@gristmill.com.au within 14 days with photos of the damage so we can assist you.
How are original artworks shipped?
Unlike our merchandise, original artworks are shipped directly from our studio. Please allow 5-8 business days for us to carefully package and dispatch your art.
Do the artworks come framed?
All artworks are sold unframed. They are shipped rolled in a tube to ensure they arrive safely.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, international shipping is available for both merchandise and artwork. Delivery times and costs will vary depending on the destination.
International orders may be subject to local customs duties or import taxes upon arrival. These charges are the responsibility of the customer.
